C-GOE joins an international research project on “Science Diplomacy”

On behalf of the Center for Global Online Education (C-GOE), Assistant Professor Sumie Nakaya will contribute a chapter to a first-of-its-kind edited volume on science diplomacy in the context of emerging technologies and the challenges and opportunities they pose to international cooperation. This collaborative research project, led by the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) in New York, brings together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.  C-GOE will present a case study on disaster resilience technology and diplomacy, exploring an array of emergent solutions—from AI-enabled predictive analytics for disaster forecasting to blockchain-based systems ensuring transparency and efficacy in aid distribution – in the Asia Pacific context.
